This class will introduce you to the practice of Street Photography and is split over two weekends. It is concerned with improving the personal work you are making and increasing your chances of a successful hunt.
In the first session, we will talk about optimum camera set ups, how to interact with your subjects and your legal rights. Central to this session is the work of the masters of street photography discussing how they got their shots and what lead them to such brilliant subjects. It also looks at how street photographers have reflected their times and reinvigorated its limits so that you can too.
More than any other approach street photography gives you the opportunity to develop your eye. At the end of the first class you will be given a structure to follow for the week ahead.
The second session is focused on a thorough critique of your work with suggestions for how to keep progressing and improving and ways to iron out problems your having.
The workshop is run by Luke Forsythe. Luke Forsythe is a born and bred Londoner and an award winning filmmaker and photographer.
'
For me, the street is the repository of public attitudes and understanding. It reflects the ever-changing state of the human condition. To think of it as a genre or style is to miss the point entirely. Street photography is for the fast-draw, itchy-eyed honest photographer. The street is where I get and test all my ideas.' Luke

'Very good course start to finish and would 100% go on another street photography follow up course. I learnt a lot and had a great time with a good bunch of people.'
